In her role, Ramona oversees the association’s continuing education program that includes face-to-face conferences, online education, and the membership’s compliance with the continuing education requirement. She is also a coach developer conducting certification trainings and tests. Ramona led the production of the “On Court with USPTA” instructional show that aired on Tennis Channel for over ten years and has been instrumental in expanding and innovating the association’s educational offerings. She has been with the USPTA for over 10 years and is the first female to hold the Director of Education role.
Ramona is a former WTA-ranked player and a two-time NCAA National Team Champion with BYU-Hawaii where her record was 45-0 in singles competition. Ramona holds a master’s degree in Sport Psychology and is passionate about human performance, helping athletes and coaches become mentally tough and achieve their maximum potential on and off the court. Ramona has coached many players that went on to play college tennis & the pro circuit and enjoys working with players of all levels. Outside of work and tennis, she enjoys music, travel, and adventure sports.
