Ramona Husaru

Director of Education and Certification


Ramona Husaru is the Director of Education & Certification for the USPTA. In her role, Ramona oversees the association’s certification and continuing education program for tennis, pickleball, padel, and platform tennis, including all the certification workshops, face-to-face conferences, online education, and the membership’s compliance with the continuing education requirements. Ramona led the production of the “On Court with USPTA” instructional show that aired on the Tennis Channel for over ten years and has been instrumental in expanding and innovating the association’s educational offerings. The USPTA was founded in 1927, and she is the first female to hold this role.

Ramona is a former WTA-ranked player and a two-time NCAA National Team Champion with BYU-Hawaii, where she was undefeated in singles competition. She has coached many players who played college tennis and the pro circuit and enjoys working with players of all levels. Ramona holds a master’s degree in Sport Psychology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Performance Psychology. She is passionate about human performance, helping athletes and coaches become mentally tough and achieve their maximum potential on and off the court.
