LAKE NONA, Fla. –The United States Professional Tennis
Association (USPTA) is proud to present the 2022 USPTA Industry Excellence
Award to Amy Badger of Albuquerque, NM (Southwest Division).
The Industry Excellence Award recognizes a USPTA certified
professional with a unique entrepreneurial spirit that has done the most to
develop unique special events, programs, and/or equipment, services, or ideas
to promote tennis.
Amy’s passion to always ‘say yes’ has truly inspired all of those
around her. She says yes to bringing people together in the spirit of growing
the game, yes to finding opportunities to create affordable events for players
and yes to serving the underserved. She’s had an incredible year focusing on
the junior space, maintaining no cut programs for middle school and high school
players, taking home state championships in both. She says she’s most proud of
the work that’s being accomplished with events that incorporate fundraising.
Amy believes that to truly love the game of tennis and to help it grow, one
needs to give, to get.
“Amy has been a valuable contributor over the last 20 years and
continues to be a leader within our association,” John Embree, USPTA CEO expressed.
About the USPTA: Founded in 1927, the USPTA is the global leader in tennis-teacher certification and professional development.
