USPTA Announces Multi-Year Endorsement Deal with LaceClips
LAKE NONA, FL, January 11, 2023 — The United States Professional
Tennis Association (USPTA), Inc. is pleased to announce a multi-year endorsement with athletic
performance tracking company LaceClips as the
Official Footwear Wearable Technology Device of the USPTA.
LaceClips
is a lightweight activity monitor that clips to one’s shoe with a patented
lace-locking technology allowing users to track their physical activity from
day to day, week to week, or month to month. To date, LaceClips has partnered
with premier tournament
organizers, high schools, and superstar athletes such as Tyreek Hill, Fabio Fognini, Andre Drummond,
Genie Bouchard, Monique Billings, and many other superstars.
Users have the ability to
watch uniquely curated workout videos from these professional athletes and
based on the stats and data, replicate the same routines at home. As users keep
track of their own stats via the app, they are able to share their results on
social media to see how they compare to the pros and even challenge friends
head to head. The pros themselves will also be adding more energy to their
workouts by competing with their peer athletes on data, keeping their fitness
routines competitive and current.
“LaceClips
is a unique way to revolutionize our members’ fitness,” said John Embree, USPTA
CEO. “This cool innovative technology allows the user to compare stats with
other tennis players from your local high-performance program but also against
other world-renowned tennis professionals too. You should encourage your junior
players to give LaceClips a try.”
“I’m
not only a former D1 athlete, but the father of a young tennis player who
sometimes trips over his shoelaces,” said Jonathan Nussbaum, Founder of
LaceClips. “I created the brand to help competitors of all ages improve their
game before and after each match through tracking fitness activity across
diverse training activities, benchmarking and monitoring resulting improvement,
and connecting and competing with peers in a new way.”
