Bill is a veteran with over 30+ years of college, junior and club coaching and management experiences and is recognized as a High-Performance Tennis Specialist by the PTR, USPTA & USTA. He has helped to develop and coach a number of local, sectional, national and international junior tennis players both on and off court through direct involvement as well as through camps and training blocks. He found his way back into college coaching in 2019 and serves as the Men’s & Women’s Head Tennis Coach at The University of Tennessee Southern. 

For 21 years he served as the Director of Tennis for the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville, Tennessee and for the last 6 years has overseen a seasonal tennis program at Temple Hills Country Club which is a “sister” Club Corp facility.  During his time at Bluegrass the club was recognized as a Top 50 Tennis Welcome Center and was also awarded both the Professional Tennis Registry Facility of the Year for Tennessee and the USPTA Tennessee Tennis Facility of the Year.

                         Liz Retzlaff

Liz Rezlaff is the Assistant Director of Tennis Programming at Tennis & Life Camps. Liz has been with TLC since 2004, serving as a supervisor since 2008. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in coaching, from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2008. She then went on to earn her M.S. in Physical Education with an emphasis in Outdoor Adventure Education from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. Liz works as a High School Physical Education Teacher in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in addition to overseeing the tennis curriculum and the development and training of instructional staff at Tennis and Life.


                           Cal Carlson

Cal Carlson is the Assistant Director of Operations at Tennis & Life Camps. Cal has been with TLC since 2015, serving as a supervisor since 2018. Cal graduated from Gustavus in 2017 with a degree in both Communication Studies and Religion. Since graduating from Gustavus, she has worked in the business world, at the U.S. Open, at he Super Bowl, and as a certified USPTA teaching professional. Cal now oversees the business and marketing operations of Tennis & Life Camps, serving as a resource and point person for all staff member and camper needs. She is also currently workingtowards an M.S. in Sport Management at Minnesota State University - Mankato.

       Courtney Boucher

Dr. Courtney Boucher is a feminist scholar who examines the hiring practices and organizational culture of college athletic departments and the impact on women in sports leadership. She received her Ph.D. in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport Sociology, with a minor in Sociocultural Studies in Education in August 2022. Boucher is now the Assistant Director of Research and Programming in the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport and an instructor in the School of Kinesiology. While Boucher wears many hats in this role, her primary responsibilities include managing the Tucker Center’s latest initiative Coaching HER, and organizing community outreach events such as the Women Coaches Symposium. She is passionate about creating spaces where women feel seen and valued in sports. Boucher received her masters from the University of Minnesota in the spring of 2019, studying the hiring practices of NCAA Division-I athletic directors. Before her graduate studies, Boucher was the Assistant Hockey Coach at her alma mater, Gustavus Adolphus College. Boucher graduated from Gustavus with a B.A. in Chemistry and a minor in Political Science.

      Raheem Simmons

Raheem Simmons is the Community Programs Manager at Inner City Tennis. Over the past 20 years Raheem has worked with Columbia Heights, Robbinsdale, and Bloomington Public Schools in roles that blend student support, cultural competence development, and sports, with the Blaisdell YMCA as their sports director, and most recently with Liberty Packaging in their human resource department with a focus on training and culture. He has deep lived experience in the communities that ICT works with, has coached basketball for over a decade ranging from 2nd grade AAU to Varsity level at Robbinsdale Cooper. His experience goes well beyond his professional roles in developing initiatives to support kids and families. More important than any of the above is Raheem’s passion about the impact he wants to have on the world. He enjoys time with his family and his Pitbull pup Melo.

     Jeff Prondzinski

Jeff Prondzinski is the Wayzata High School Boys Varsity Tennis Coach. Under Prondzinski, the Wayzata Boys Varsity Tennis team has won three state championships. Prondzinki's previously coaching experiences include the Mankato Loyala Varsity Boy and Girls Tennis team, the Winona Cotter Varsity Boy and Girls Tennis Team, and the Winona State Men's and Women's Tennis team. He has a career coaching record of 550-186. Prondzinki's has a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Minnesota State University - Mankato and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Winona State University.


      Luke Elifson
 

Luke Elifson is the Head Tennis Coach at St. Paul Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota and a High Performance Junior Instructor at Bloomington Lifetime Fitness. He has worked in Junior Development at several locations since 2018.
He graduated from University of St Thomas in 2017 with All-American Honors while playing for the Men's team, and won two State High School doubles titles in 2011-2012 for Minneapolis South.

     Mike Laurel

Mike has been a tennis teaching professional for 27 years and enjoys working with all levels and ages.  Over the past 20 years at The Minikahda Club, he has taught lessons and coordinated the Jr Tennis Program.  In addition to his efforts at Minikahda, he taught lessons and Women’s Daytime League Teams at Northwest Athletic Clubs and Lifetime Fitness for 21 years where he was recognized as the “Professional of the Year in 2018”.  He started his tennis career teaching lessons during the summers at the Edina Country Club, while teaching vocal music at Burnsville High School.  In addition to tennis, Mike is also the Director of Member Engagement at The Minikahda Club, managing special events and the clubs Winter Activities of Curling, CC Skiing and Ice Skating. Mike earned his BA from the University of St. Thomas, earning a double major in K-12 Vocal Music and Education and was a four year letterman for the St. Thomas Men’s Tennis Team. Mike lives in River Falls, WI with his wife, Carolyn and their daughters, Isabel and Greta. Mike's hobbies include, singing with his Barbershop Quartet, cross country and downhill skiing, and helping his family on their farm.  The farm includes horses, cashmere goats, chickens and his daughters’ show rabbits.

           Emily Peterson 

Emily Peterson is a master's student in the Sport, Exercise, & Performance Psychology program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She works as a Mental Skills Consultant, providing mental training to high school and collegiate athletes and teams, as well as ROTC Cadets. Emily received her bachelor's degrees in psychology and French in 2021 at the University of Minnesota Duluth. While in undergrad, she played for the university’s club tennis team. Last summer, Emily had the privilege of creating and implementing the mental training curriculum at the Tennis & Life Camps at Gustavus Adolphus College. Her interest in mental training stems from her time as a competitive gymnast. Her team worked with a mental skills coach, who introduced her to the powerful connection between mind and body. Post-graduation, Emily hopes to work with the US military as a Master Resilience Trainer and dive deeper into the world of mental training for tennis players
