Member Service Representative

The Member Service Representative plays a key role in servicing the needs of our current and future members.  This position is responsible for answering all membership inquires via phone and email as well as processing current, new, or future member requests.

Essential Functions

  • Respond to all membership inquires via phone or email
  • Process new applications from potential members
  • Communicate with new applicants via phone or email and send out study materials
  • Compile and mail out welcome packages with membership information
  • Input certification exam results into database
  • Troubleshoot questions from members with problems accessing online exams 
  • Reset member online passwords when requested 
  • Prepare and send out new member packages
  • Collect and process payments for new applicants, annual dues, reinstatements, and insurance products
  • Issue certificates and insurance verification letters to members who request them
  • Prepare and mail out years of service certificates annually 
  • Assist with mailing invoices 
  • Member outreach to dropped or suspended members 
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED diploma 
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience 
  • Experience with high call volume 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Experience

  • Tennis experience
  • Knowledge of IMIS database software

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for files and computer printouts. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
