Description:
On June 9, our LGBTQ+ “101” webinar was an introduction to develop skills to create equitable policies and to address fairness and disparity at clubs and on teams. On June 24, this 90-minute intensive training is a follow-up to the introductory webinar. . On June 24, this 90-minute intensive training is a follow-up to the introductory webinar. USPTA Task Force members will lead discussions and encourage active dialogue with participants who want to deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and learn how to be effective allies. Topics will include policy development, transgender equity, and conflicting belief systems.

Speakers:
James Rohrbacher 
USPTA certified teaching professional with 23 years of teaching experience and 13 years of experience as general manager of Lincoln Park Tennis Club/Diversey Tennis Center, an outdoor clay court facility in Chicago. James is proud to be on the LGBTQIA+ task force for the USPTA and is available as a liaison or point of contact for the Chicagoland area. Emma Doyle
USPTA Elite professional and Tennis Australia High-Performance Coach with a strong background as a tennis touring professional and a talent development coach. Emma is passionately involved in creating gender equality in all sports and the workplace by educating coaches and empowering females, aiming to stretch their comfort zone, build their confidence, and discover their inner coach.


Allie Pavlansky 
USPTA certified instructor.  Allie identifies as a pansexual woman and is an active member and advocate within the LGBTQ+ community. Allie will graduate with her MBA from Colorado Technical University in July of 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Science in American Politics and Law from the United States Naval Academy.  Allie played Division I college tennis for two years at Navy and was part of the first women’s team to beat Army in school history.                                                                                           
                                                 

Meike Babel
USPTA professional and former world-class tennis player playing on the WTA Tour from 1991-2000. Meike currently works with the USTA as a mental skills coach in Regional Training Camps. She also serves on both the USPTA National and USTA National Diversity & Inclusion committees.
